Business Leadership Cohorts
To provide hands-on assistance to groups of child care entrepreneurs, First Children’s Finance convenes Business Leadership Cohorts (BLC) that bring together similar-sized child care businesses in a peer group and match the group with FCF-led training, consultation, coaching, and technical assistance.
These sessions offer the opportunity to learn the basics of running a child care business. Participants learn about the child care business model, the importance of managing enrollment, and how to develop policies and procedures to improve financial performance. FCF staff provide a thorough financial analysis of business operations with recommendations for improvements.
