Child care providers are the backbone of our communities, offering essential services to families.
To support this vital work, the Oregon Legislature launched the Child Care Infrastructure Fund in 2023. This new program, managed by Business Oregon and in collaboration with the Department of Early Learning and Care, is designed to provide licensed child care businesses across Oregon with the funding they need to enhance their facilities.
Funds may be used for:
-
Planning projects
-
Construction
-
Renovation
-
Retrofitting
-
Property acquisition
-
Projects such as permanently fixed playground equipment, HVAC systems, kitchen upgrades, and facility enhancements
These grants are crucial for ensuring that child care facilities across Oregon are equipped to provide safe, high-quality environments.
